Newark CSD - Reopening Plan Update - August 2023

2023 - 2024 School Year

The District will continue to operate under a fully in-person instructional model for all students, starting Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Evidence and research show that in-person learning models most appropriately address academic, social, emotional and mental health needs. The CDC, American Academy of Pediatrics, and NYS Education Department have all recommended that schools prioritize in-person learning. As we did last school year, we will continue to use the Center for Disease Control to guide us with scientific data supporting their recommendations.
