The 21st CCLC Grant provides an extensive afterschool program that is available to all students across the district. Students have access to academic support, engaging enrichment activities, family events, and field trip opportunities to explore the greater areas.

The Extended School Day Program (ESD) supports our morning wellness program for both Kelley and Middle School. Additionally, ESD supports students' social emotional well-being during the school day by partnership with Peaceful Schools and other community agencies.

Our McKinney Vento grant, in collaboration with Pal-Mac CSD, Clyde-Savannah CSD, and Lyons CSD ensures that we are providing supports to families who are experiencing temporary housing/homelessness. The purpose of this grant is to remove barriers, provide access to community supports, and create a stable environment for students to continue to learn.  

The MHAT grant supports district-wide efforts to increase mental health awareness and early intervention. By providing opportunities such as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention in Schools, Youth Mental Health First Aid, and other mental health trainings, staff can recognize signs of mental health challenges and connect students with appropriate supports. 

In collaboration with Finger Lakes Community Action, Active People Healthy Wayne supports critical work to address food instability for students and families in the Newark community. The purpose is to support the established Newark Reds Food Pantry to continue support the physical health & well-being of the school community.
