TEXT BELOW:
The proposed 2022-23 Newark Central School District budget passed May 17th by a
vote was 390 to 159.
The bus purchase proposition passed by a vote of 422 to 129.
Also in the election, two, three-year terms were won by newcomers Mary Thoms with
352 votes and Miranda Brooks-Ruggeri with 235 votes.
Candidates Julie Miller received 195 votes and Kevin Greenlee received 132 votes.
After the results were tallied May 17th, Superintendent Susan Hasenauer thanked everyone
that ran for a seat on the Board of Education.
“Congratulations to Mary Thoms and Miranda BrooksRuggeri. I am looking forward to their service on the Board of Education.”
Hasenauer also expressed great appreciation for the ongoing support by district voters of the NCSD educational program and thanked everyone that voted.
