Marriott, of Clyde, will work alongside Warren Bushart, P-Tech Food Service Coordinator and Michele Backus, Food Service Supervisor for the NCSD until June 30th when both Bushart and Backus are planning to retire.
“I am very excited and looking forward to joining the Newark team,’’ Marriott said during her first day of work April 14th during which, among other things, she toured all five NCSD cafeterias with Bushart.
“Christina had such amazing energy during the interview process,” Superintendent Susan Hasenauer said. “Her excitement and enthusiasm for food presentation and the utilization of fresh produce from our region was contagious. I look forward to her vision coming to fruition as we try new and innovative recipes for our students. She will be a great addition to lead the team!”
Prior to becoming Food Service Supervisor in North Rose-Wolcott, she worked as a cook in the district since 2019.
Other related work experience was when she worked as Lodge Manager at Savannah Dhu Conference Center from March 2003 until July of 2005 and managed the former Dave’s convenience store, now Rose’s Quick Stop in Savannah from January 2001 until March of 2003.
Marriott earned her associate’s degree in liberal arts, humanities & social services from Cayuga Community College.
She and husband Jason, an Orchard Specialist for Tree Crisp Orchards in Wolcott, have a blended family with five grown children.
