Nolan, who currently resides in New York City and will begin working here June 3rd, will be replacing Sue Carr when she retires June 28th after working nearly 16 years in the position.
The three-person NCSD HR team Nolan will join also includes Executive Director Christine Bennett and HR Secretary Christine Acquista.
“Michael brings years of experience in human resources and public relations including office management, full cycle recruiting and onboarding; all while ensuring effective employee relations. Throughout the interview process, it was evident that Michael invests the time needed to learn and succeed. We are excited to have him join our team,” Bennett said.
“I’m very excited to return to my roots in Western NY,” Nolan said. “After nearly 30 years living in NYC, it will be a welcome change and I look forward to reconnecting to those roots.”
Before becoming office manager for the Jersey City company in July 2023, Nolan was the senior recruiter at iQuanti for a year. Related experience includes him being the Director of Operations for the New York City-based M&C Saatchi Performance Digital Advertising Agency from August 2015 until November 2021 and Office Manager of the Ogilvy Public Relations agency, also in New York City, from February 2001 until November 2012.
A Lyons native, Nolan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in public relations and marketing from Syracuse University.
“I am single and will be living in Manchester with family when I start with the Newark Central School District,” Nolan said. “I enjoy running and will be training for my 10th marathon this summer. I also have a Great Dane named Wonder.”
