Dr. Jennifer Sinsebox is Newark Central School District’s new Director of Innovation and Grants Services.
Her appointment to the position, effective April 11th, was unanimously approved by the Board of Education April 10th. Dr. Sinsebox, who had been Assistant Director of Innovation and Grants Services since July 2022 replaced Sandra Ordan who resigned and left the position April 19th to became an educational consultant for Peaceful Schools in Syracuse.
Dr. Sinsebox’s new duties include development and implementation of grants and innovative programming; creating high performing Community School Partnerships and building innovative programs in which students and families feel supported, community members feel connected and successful outcomes emerge by utilizing multi-tiered systems of support aligned with the District’s Strategic Plan, grantor priorities and requirements.
“Jen’s experience brings extensive knowledge and expertise in a multitude of areas. The success of the Extended Day Program already demonstrates her dedication to Newark and I am confident she will continue to hit the ground running in this new role,” Superintendent Susan Hasenauer said.

Her contributions to the district have laid a strong foundation, and I am committed to building upon her efforts to further advance innovative programming to reach every student, every day at the Newark Central School District.”
An Adjunct Professor in Educational Leadership at Brockport since 2015, Dr. Sinsebox worked as Executive Director of Curriculum and Data Management for the Wheatland-Chili Central School District from 2008 until 2021.
Before that she was a K-12 special education teacher in the Wheatland-Chili district from 1996-2008. Prior to that she was a special education teacher at Bloomfield High School from 1993-96 and she taught elementary special education in the Wheatland-Chili district from 1991-93.
Dr. Sinsebox earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Special Education and her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Nazareth College; her Administrative Certificate from SUNY Brockport and her Doctorate in Education from St. John Fisher College.
She lives in Canandaigua with husband, Larry, an engineer with GE Health Care for the Central and Western New York region. The couple have two daughters, Hannah, 28, an optometrist in Rochester and Sarah, 23, who will graduate next month from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, Pa. and will then complete a year-long Pharmacy Residency at Millcreek Hospital in Erie.
